Hudson Valley Hospice 542 Violet Ave,
Hyde Park, NY
Hudson Valley Hospice, a premier not-for-profit healthcare agency, tasked our team with building the first freestanding hospice inpatient facility in Dutchess and Ulster Counties, providing a residential hospice option closer to home. The 1,600-square-foot facility, valued at $10.3 million and designed by Machado Architectural Designs, PPLC, features ensuite bathrooms, individual room temperature control, and convertible furniture for overnight family stays.
Common areas include spacious dining facilities, lounges, and gathering rooms with coffee stations, microwaves, and refrigerators for family use. Set on 6.8 acres, the facility offers a meditative garden for a tranquil outdoor environment.
Due to the lack of municipal sewer and water, our team incorporated an onsite waste treatment facility, public water system, fire protection, and backup power. The building includes medical gas and oxygen systems, a nurse call system, and two pediatric care suites.
Hudson Valley Hospice House provides a safe, welcoming environment and addresses a previously unmet community need.
