Dutchess County Fairgrounds Administration Building
Owned and managed by the Dutchess County Agricultural Society, Inc., and home of the classic Dutchess County Fair, the Sheep and Wool Festival, the Country Living Fair and numerous other popular events that draw hundreds of thousands of visitors throughout the year, the Dutchess County Fairgrounds had need of a new, purpose-built administration building. The challenge was that the construction must take place during the winter so it would not interfere with upcoming events.
Mid Hudson Construction Management took the challenge and were able to accomplish ground up construction of the new building to provide year round comfort for staff who control day to day operations and space for the fairground’s security hub. When MHCM commits to such a project, we analyze all the project’s logistics, material requirements to ensure smooth delivery on time-sensitive construction. Important considerations in this project were awareness of temperature in relation to site-preparation, concrete pouring and curing and ongoing protection of equipment and the site itself to operate safely and efficiently. The project was completed on time and under budget.
