Home conversion and renovation for transitioning mental health clients
The Mental Health Association contracted with MHCM to make an extensive restoration of a convention two family home into transitional housing for mental health patients. Transitional housing is a stepping stone towards more independent living for a mental health client. After gaining the skills to move into a more independent community-based apartment. The exterior renovations included complete redesign with a new roof, new siding, new front and rear decks and exterior stairs to grade.
Interior renovations involved new kitchen, bathrooms, floors and new plumbing, lighting, fire alarm system and gas fired boiler. The transitional housing program allows individuals to begin a path to employment and integration in the community.
